About Zakiyah Williams
Zakiyah K. Williams, MPH, IBCLC, is the Lactation Services Manager at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford in Palo Alto, California, and is a member of the BabyCenter Medical Advisory Board. Zakiyah lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her loving dog, Calliope.
Experience
Zakiyah is the founder of A to Z Lactation and Perinatal Services. Throughout her career, she has focused on maternal and child health topics ranging from preconception and reproductive health, family planning, teen pregnancy prevention, and lactation. The cornerstone of her work has been rooted in advancing health equity.
She currently serves as a member of the CRASH Committee for the United States Breastfeeding Committee (USBC) and is a technical advisory board member for BIOMILQ , a company that aims to increase infant feeding options.
Education
Zakiyah received her bachelor's degree in psychology from Mount Saint Mary College and her Master's in Public Health, with an emphasis in maternal and child health, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
